Direct entry, Foundation or International Year One?
International students arrive with different qualifications and academic backgrounds. Some can move directly into Year 1. Others may need a Foundation programme or, where suitable, an International Year One.
Echos starts with the degree and university direction the student is trying to reach, then evaluates the available routes against progression requirements, academic readiness and future choice.

Conditions still have to be met, a final university choice still has to be made and the student still has to be ready for the way a degree is taught and assessed.
The months between offer and arrival can be used for academic readiness, practical preparation, transition and, where useful, continuation into academic mentoring. This is where admission begins to become readiness.
When the subject is not yet clear
Academic history, reading, interests, work exposure and structured exploration can help distinguish a passing preference from a subject the student is ready to pursue seriously. The objective is not to force certainty too early, but to create enough evidence for a considered direction.
Academic integrity
Echos teaches, questions, challenges and reviews. We do not write applications, essays or assessed work on behalf of students. A strong application makes the student’s thinking clearer; it does not manufacture a persona.
Yes. UCAS is one application system among several. We also work with direct applications, international systems and the additional documents, tests and interviews individual universities require.
Yes. Clarifying academic direction is often the most important part of the work, and it should come before application writing.
By starting with the degree and university the student is aiming for, then checking which routes that qualification profile actually allows and what each route requires for progression.
The UK is our main area of experience, alongside selected international routes including the United States and other systems where Echos has relevant capacity. The scope is agreed clearly at the start.
